So when you have spent years campaigning, or otherwise being involved in politics – and THEN one day you finally realise that the whole system is broken, everything is utterly corrupted, and most people are secretly obsessed with either money or power.

And your friends say, or they think – don’t be a downer Debbie… don’t bring us all down with your views about this and that, and theories on stuff.

And you’re actually feeling much too jaded and broken to really do much any more (in the political space anyway) other than just blog on a bit about your views on “what’s really going on” ….

Well, then, it’s a bit of a hard space to be in. You wanted to change the world, you thought some things could be done, some things could be addressed. If only the politicians in charge would find out the truth, and then do some things about all the broken stuff that needs to be addressed.

Then another ephipahy, you figure out the politicians know the system is broken, and that it functions the way it does because it helps to generate wealth for the super rich (which automatically includes the politicians of course, as their salaries are over $200,000 a year – incidentally putting them in the top 7% of highest income receivers / earners in Australia). That is your ah ha moment.

The extent of it is vast. Hmm, where to begin on this topic ?! Well that will be the subject for another post.
